About the National Arts Fundraising School

The National Arts Fundraising School was established in 1988 and is run by The Management Centre (=mc).

Over the last 30 years more than 1,800 arts and cultural organisations – representing local authorities, theatres, libraries, galleries, arts centres and museums – have benefited from the school.

Set in the beautiful East Sussex countryside, the school’s aim is to equip you with the skills needed to realise your own potential and the fundraising potential of your organisation. Over six intensive, challenging – and fun – days you’ll develop your understanding of the techniques, strategies and approaches used by the very best fundraisers.

The price of the programmes is £1,950 plus VAT for 2018.

This includes tuition fees, five night’s accommodation, all meals and full documentation.

Terms & conditions for money back guarantee

We’ll refund the programme fee in full if the following criteria are met:

  • An additional cash amount equivalent to the course fee is not raised by the organisation that employs the attendee from new or existing sources within 12 months of attending the programme.

  • Audited accounts covering the 12 month period after the programme are produced to show that the fundraising income for that organisation has increased by less than the fee.
  • The individual attendee is still employed by the organisation that registered the place for the 12 months after the programme.

Please note, this guarantee does not apply to consultants or advisors attending the School who have no fundraising responsibilities for the organisation they are employed by.

Getting help with funding your place

The National Arts Fundraising School is widely regarded within the sector as a sound investment, and each year many participants receive grants from external bodies to help fund their place.

These have included:

NEWS: we’re delighted to announce that the Arts Council of Wales are currently offering two bursaries for fundraisers in Wales to attend the November 2018 School (11th – 16th).
